Welcome to my monthly roundup. February was not a month that I posted very many new pieces (though you should definitely read the one I did because it’s hilarious and emotional) with all the work on my last salon and IRL responsibilities, but this did not stop me from reading like a maniac. My January roundup introduced you guys to some incredible new writers, so I’m going to keep this series as a monthly feature.
As March approaches, I’ve committed myself to focusing more on my personal life and less on digital socializing. I will be appearing on a few new podcasts because this feels much closer to IRL than text interactions, but don’t expect me to text you if we haven’t met and aren’t planning to meet in the future. Voice to voice is infinitely better than text to text and in-the-flesh will always reign. Your text buddy is in another castle.
A big part of why I love curating and hosting salons is because of how personal they are. Even my online salons transcend impersonal digital barriers, and this is an act of deliberation. So, there you have it. More reading. More writing. More podcasting. More IRL events. LFG. The roundup starts now.
It’s a wrap. Want to attend my monthly salons online and/or off? Want to financially support my writing and view my archives? Want to join my community and gain access to my private groupchat? Become a paid member of The Cultural Futurist and we’ll make it happen. I’m giving everybody a 50% off discount who joins as an annual member for the rest of February. Let’s move each other up as we realign during this unusual period of history. Did you hear we were calling it the future?
Thank you for including me :-)
I know those are stairs in the picture but in my head you're totally fighting off getting pulled into a jet turbine action star style
