I like the vibe, I like the sound, I like the words and images, and many of the phrases taken by themselves, e.g. “A ritual for the secret village”, work as micropoems on their own.
I’m sure I’m missing most of what you are saying here substantively. That cryptic element I take as a feature not a bug.
Fiume may have private meaning to you, or a public or collective meaning I don’t know about. But it makes me think of Gabriele D’Annunzio. I suspect that episode is one part of a multifaceted symbol.
Yes. It’s also a reference to D’Annunzio’s project in a wider sense, but it was about the ever-shifting realm and its complexities. Wait, I’m not supposed to explain these types of poems. I think Contarini gets what I’m saying now, though.
"As we marginalize in glory" is interesting. The way my brain thinks about it is that there's like a small section of glory celebration or something, but in a literal sense it sounds like people glorifying marginalizing people, so I am guessing you mean psychos who do that to like minorities and other people or whatever.

It’s a temporal space in this piece. I hope that helps.
In Italian it means 'river'.

Have you seen the film, 'The Menu'? ... speaking of sacrifices and menus.
Apparently I need to.

No, that’s not what I meant.
If it was a poem about like a butter replacement, it would be "As we Margarinize in glory".
😂
